Delete my account

From the app

• Open Profile (the last tab; on the shop-owner side it is called More).
• Tap Privacy & security.
• Tap Delete my account and read what the page says stays behind.
• Confirm. You are signed out on every device and the account is closed immediately.

If you run a shop that is listed, the app will ask you to close the shop first (Shop settings → Close shop). A listed shop cannot be left with nobody able to open it in the morning. Closing keeps the shop's record so it can be relisted later; deleting the account after that is the same few taps.

By email

If you no longer have the app, write to privacy@trimbrim.com from the email address on the account, with the subject “Delete my account”. We will confirm and delete it within 7 days. If we cannot tell the request came from the account's owner, we will ask you to confirm with a code sent to that address.

What is deleted

• Your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, gender and profile photo.
• Your password and every sign-in session, on every device.
• Your saved city. (We do not store your position — see the Privacy Policy.)
• Your favourites, your notifications and notification settings, your device's push registration, and any pending verification codes.
• If you were a barber on someone's staff, the link between your login and their staff list.

The email address and phone number are freed: someone — including you — can sign up with them again, as a new person with no history.

What stays, without you in it

• Visits recorded by a shop stay as records that a visit happened, with your name, phone number and account details removed. A shop's count of its own day is its record, and it does not change because a customer later left.
• Reviews you left stay on the shop's page, signed “Deleted user”. A shop's rating is built from real visits and is not rewritten by accounts closing.
• If an admin ever acted on your account (for example hid a review), the record that a decision was made stays, without your details.

Timing

Deletion is immediate in the live service. Copies in backups are rotated out within 30 days. Server logs that contain your IP address are kept for up to 30 days and then gone.
